The days following after papa left Bella Rose became weeks, months and then a year had passed. When Miss Lily came to wake the children on this windy fall day. She leaned down to Bella and lightly touched her shoulder has she whispered Isabella ... Isabella.This was what everyone would call Bella at the orphanage. Bella could hear the winds howling as she would start to search frantically for Lizzy her teddy bear that belonged to her mom. The day began like it would on any other normal day. Washing up in the basin, getting dressed ,breakfast, chores. Some children would go off to learn in the classrooms that was never seen by Bella. She was too young, but knew it would not be that long before she would join the others. Bella would often sit on the stairs watching and listening to all the older children scamper down the many steps to their classroom. Miss Lily was always looking for Bella, Bella had secret corners she wandered off to with Lizzy that became where she would develop her adventures. This day felt very different to Bella, the workers and Miss Lily at the orphanage kept quiet when Bella would walk by. Everyone loved Bella and her blonde locks. The winds had stopped howling on this September fall day when Bella pressed her little button nose up against the window. Can I go out and play Miss Lily she excitedly squealed. She hurried to get her cape and boots on. Bella loved to be outside for it was there she would be able to see her buddy Charlie. It was near time to come in for supper when she saw a large shadow out of the corner of her eye. Charlie leaned into Bella whispering is it your birthday Bella,she didn't know she peered back with a suspicious mind .Miss Lily came out in the hopes that she would see Bella. No where in sight she started to call out her name. Bella said I have to go gave Charlie a hug, grabbed Lizzy and scurried to the gate. Miss Lily had a big smile planted on her face, why are you so happy Miss Lilly Bella asked. Come with me I want to get you washed up before supper and change your dress. Bella went along with this the delight that was presenting itself.They both walked down the large winding stairs as Miss Lily grasped her tiny hand and Bella hanging onto the large banister. They walked through the gigantic stained glass doors into this room filled with windows from ceiling to floor. Miss Lily handed Bella a square box wrapped in brown paper with a pretty pink ribbon tied in a bow. Today is your birthday Miss Lily said clapping her hands together. I have another surprise for you , turn around Bella. She turned with the help of Miss Lily and Lizzy in one hand and her present in the other.Suddenly Lizzy fell to the ground and Bella's gift dropped to the floor. Her body started to tremble and tears flowed down Bella's cheek. Bella...Bella Miss Lily cried out has she shook Bella's shoulders slightly.
